Your selected question and answer

Question:

Will I be covered if my travel provider goes bust?

Answer:

Only Finest policies bought on or after 16th October 2010 cover this.

The Finest travel insurance policy provides Financial Failure cover. This covers each person insured on the policy for up to £1500 if the end supplier (scheduled airline, hotel, car ferry, overseas villa, cottage in UK, rail company, coach company, cruise company (not bonded), car hire company, caravan site, camper rental company, excursion provider, Eurotunnel or theme park such as Disneyland Paris) goes bust and you are unable to recover any amount paid from another source.

Please note that this does not cover the financial failure of a travel agent, booking agent, consolidator, tour operator or tour organiser. When booking travel arrangements, you should check that the agent/tour operator is a member of ABTA or ATOL as this offers additional protection in the case of financial failure.

Please see the Policy Booklet for full details of cover and the insurer that provides this cover.
