Question:

What is a double excess?

Answer:

When you purchase a Tesco Travel Insurance Standard or Finest policy online or over the phone, you can opt to double the normal excess (£50 on Standard and £35 on Finest) in return for a reduced premium.

If you select this option, your excess for Standard cover will be £100 and your excess for Finest cover will be £70.

This option is not available for policies purchased prior to 16th October 2010 or for Value policies
The excess is the amount we take off each claim you make under certain sections of the insurance policy. You should refer to the Policy Booklet for full details of what excess you need to pay under each section.
