Tesco Pet Insurance can insure most cats and dogs provided they're fit and healthy, and over 8 weeks old.

We can provide cover for most breeds of dog once they are 8 weeks old providing the dog is not on the list of uninsurable breeds

Tesco Pet Insurance can provide insurance for your dog as long as it is NOT:

· On the list of uninsurable breeds

· Used for racing, security purposes or as a guard dog

· Used for monetary gain or in connection with any trade or business, commercial purposes, breeding or gun-dog use

· Any dog listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act, Wolves or Wolf Hybrids

The Dogs currently listed (as at October 2010) under the Dangerous Dogs Act are:

· Pit Bull Terrier types

· Japanese Tosa types

· Dogo Argentino types

· Fila Braziliero types
