Do you insure older pets?
Answer:
Tesco Pet Insurance can insure most cats and dogs provided they're fit and healthy, and over 8 weeks old.
We can provide cover for most breeds of dog once they are 8 weeks old providing the dog is not on the list of uninsurable breeds
Tesco Pet Insurance can provide insurance for your dog as long as it is NOT:
- On the list of uninsurable breeds
- Used for racing, security purposes or as a guard dog
- Used for monetary gain or in connection with any trade or business, commercial purposes, breeding or gun-dog use
- Any dog listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act, Wolves or Wolf Hybrids
The Dogs currently listed (as at October 2010) under the Dangerous Dogs Act are:
- Pit Bull Terrier types
- Japanese Tosa types
- Dogo Argentino types
- Fila Braziliero types
