Question:
How does Tesco Pet Insurance prevent fraudulent claims?
Answer:
Unfortunately a very small number of people provide false details in order to make up, or inflate claims.
There are a number of insurance industry databases that allow us to share information with other companies to identify unusual behaviour and pinpoint fraud. As fraud is a criminal offence, and it increases the cost of insurance for everyone, Tesco Pet Insurance will forward all details of fraudulent claims to the police - and share information with other financial service organisations where the law allows us to do so.
