Your selected question and answer
Question:
Can I see any specialist?
Answer:
You need to contact AXA PPP healthcare before seeing any specialist or receiving any treatment. AXA PPP healthcare will check its database and confirm whether the person you have been referred to is covered. They will then be able to check all aspects of your claim including all your specialist details to ensure payment can be made in full or to advise you otherwise. Some specialists charge more than they will pay and if you use such a specialist you may have to make up any shortfall between what the specialist charges and what AXA PPP healthcare will pay. AXA PPP healthcare can check to see if the specialist is likely to charge more than they pay. AXA PPP healthcare can then inform you how much they will pay. Most specialists charge up to or below the usual fees, therefore no shortfall would apply. For further information please call the Personal Advisory team; they are available on the telephone Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm on 0800 085 1800.
