Question:

What are special terms?

Answer:

‘Special terms’ are generally known as ‘endorsements’.  These could be general restrictions and conditions on the insurance cover.  Additional wording may be printed on the Policy Schedule or on a separate document which changes the terms or features of the insurance cover.  An endorsement would form part of the policy.  For example, if you drive a high performance car there may be an endorsement that prevents anyone under 25 driving the vehicle.  This would be shown on your policy schedule.
