Question:

How will my normal Credit Card payments be affected if I use Buy Now Pay Later?

Answer:

If you use the Buy Now Pay Later feature on your Tesco Credit Card, payments to your credit card account will first be applied to reduce any other balances on your account e.g. balance transfer balance, purchase balance, etc before reducing your Buy Now Pay Later balances.

If you normally clear your credit card balance in full every month by Direct Debit, Buy Now Pay Later balances will not be cleared until the end of the Buy Now Pay Later interest free period.

At the end of your Buy Now Pay Later period, the outstanding balance is treated as a normal purchase balance & charged at your standard purchase interest rate. Your standard purchase interest rate may vary depending on your current Tesco credit card purchase rate.

During your Buy Now Pay Later period, we calculate your regular minimum monthly repayment without taking into account any Buy Now Pay Later amounts, so you will not pay towards your Buy Now Pay Later balances during the interest free period.

Please note that you must always make any minimum payment quoted on your statement, by the payment date quoted on your statement.

Please note if you choose to close your existing Tesco credit card account, your outstanding Buy Now Pay Later period will also be cancelled.
